Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: £100,000 – £115,000

TechNET IT has partnered with a leading technology infrastructure provider to support their search for a strategic and experienced Business Development Director – Data Centre. This role is instrumental in shaping and executing the organisation’s global data centre strategy while driving expansion into new sectors and leveraging AI-driven innovations.
Key Responsibilities:

Data Centre Strategy Development: Lead and execute the company’s global data centre strategy, ensuring a clearly defined go-to-market plan that aligns with business growth objectives.

Infrastructure & COLO Oversight: Oversee infrastructure and colocation strategies, ensuring optimisation, cost efficiency, and scalability.

Market Expansion & Growth: Identify new market opportunities, including COLO targets, emerging sectors, and hyperscale prospects, driving revenue growth and market share.

Industry Leadership & Engagement: Represent the company as a subject matter expert at trade shows, industry events, and thought leadership panels, while building strong relationships with key partners, consultants, and contractors.

AI & Technology Integration: Leverage artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to enhance the company’s infrastructure solutions and business operations.

Strategic Sales Leadership: Drive new and cross-sales business opportunities across existing accounts and new clients, ensuring sustainable revenue streams for data centre projects and managed services.

Global Team Collaboration: Lead a dedicated and virtual team focused on data centre clients across multiple regions, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Market Research & Insights: Gather and share key market insights to inform business strategy, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the data centre or ICT infrastructure industry.

Strong technical understanding of structured cabling, data centre operations, and emerging digital infrastructure trends.

Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business development strategies that drive market expansion.

Excellent leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Financial acumen and strategic decision-making capabilities in a fast-paced environment.
