Business Unit: Restore Harrow Green

Location: Cambridge, CB22 3TJ

Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time

Hours: Monday – Friday,37.5 hours per week

Salary: £33,000 – £38,000 per annum + OTE

Are you a results-driven professional with a passion for business development?

Restore Harrow Green is looking for a dynamic Business Development Executive to drive growth in our Laboratory Services division. Based in Cambridge, you’ll be at the forefront of identifying new business opportunities, building lasting client relationships, and setting up crucial site survey appointments for our sales team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through outreach, networking, and market research
Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential lab clients across the life sciences sector, including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and genomics
Forge strong connections with key decision-makers like lab managers, facilities managers, and Heads of Operations
Qualify leads using the BANT framework and set up site surveys for our sales managers to quote
Keep accurate records of prospect interactions and activities
Work closely with sales managers to ensure a seamless handover of qualified leads
Stay on top of industry trends, attend conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote our services

ABOUT YOU

Previous experience in business development or sales, especially in B2B services or scientific industries
A solid understanding of the scientific research landscape and laboratory operations
Excellent at building relationships and engaging with decision-makers
Have a hunger for success with a drive to exceed targets
Proficient in CRM systems and the MS Office suite
Excellent presentation, writing, and numerical skills
Resilient and persistent, even in the face of challenges and objections
An excellent listener, able to understand and articulate client needs
A collaborative team player, working effectively with sales managers and other departments
Adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
