Thorn Baker is working with a reputable Facilities Management SME based within the Midlands area, to recruit a Senior Soft Services Business Development Manager.

The role offers the following;

Salary: £50’000- £60,000 Salary + Uncapped and generous ccommission scheme (Open to salary negotiations).

Car Allowance: £5,000 PA

Contract Status: Permanent

Location: Midlands (National contracts)

Hybrid and Flexible working

Hours of Work: 9am – 5pm (40 Hours Per Week)

Our client is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to join the soft services side of the business and assist with converting new business contracts, across the whole of the UK. The individual selected for this role must be flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work both independently and in collaboration with colleagues. The successful candidate will report directly to the Group Sales Director and have a background of working within the soft services facilities management sector, including security and contract cleaning.

The primary focus of the candidate will be to generate business throughout the UK promoting sales through the provision of bespoke total facilities management packages which could include services such as contracted cleaning, washrooms services, window cleaning, pest control, grounds maintenance, manned guarding, mobile patrols, key holding and more.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Consistent prospecting for new opportunities
Explore our existing client base and support requests for service increases
Develop and maintaincurrent processes to enhance the Team’s success rates
Work efficiently and promptly tosupport a fast-paced environmentand customer satisfaction
Always ensure compliance throughout the sales and operational delivery processes
Work in collaboration with the Central Sales Team on multi-service opportunities to create all-encompassing solutions
Produce all quotations in line with company policy
Ensure thorough handovers are completed for each sale to support operational success
Build and maintain a healthy pipeline to support you in achieving your annual target
Support the company by working with and aligned to your appointed sales strategy
Professional and coherent communication internally and with external contacts

Mandatory Skill Set:

Competent Microsoft Office Knowledge
Diary Management
Confident with customer engagement
Able to read and understand scaled drawings to support quotation
Excellent attention to detail
Confident spoken and written communication skills
Can-do attitude with the desire to drive progression and growth of the team
Experience as a field sales operative is mandatory
Able to demonstrate commercial understanding within the FM sector
Ability to utilise and record data using in-house CRM
