This position will be working for a small but family friendly insurance brokerage.

Due to continued growth, our client is currently looking to employ either an experienced Commercial Account Handler or an individual who has 2 or 3 years personal lines experience looking for the next step up, with full training provided.

The company will fund your Certificate of Insurance and there’s a real chance to progress your career whilst working in a friendly team.

Salary: £27.5k to £40k (dependant on experience) plus extensive benefits

You will ideally have over 2 years plus of experience within a commercial insurance brokerage or at least 2 to 3 years personal lines experience.

About the Commercial Account Handler role:

You`ll be responsible for the account handling of commercial lines customers with risks ranging from Motor Trade, Property Owners, Commercial Combined and Fleet etc.

You will be a point of referral to more junior members of the team and you will use your expertise and experience to help with queries and occasional training/mentoring.

You will look to identify opportunities to grow the book through offering relevant cross sales and referral leads.

Normal office hours (9am to 5pm). No Weekends!

Main duties in the Commercial Insurance Account Handler role:

Dealing with commercial insurance policy renewals
Responsible for growing our commercial clients through new business / arranging policies for new clients
Be a point of referral within the team
Organise daily work to ensure compliance is met at all times
Liaise with Underwriters to help secure the retention of clients.
Identify new markets, schemes and other opportunities to help grow the Business
The skills you’ll bring to the Commercial Insurance Account Handler role:

Thorough commercial insurance knowledge of at least 2 years is preferred or 2 to 3 years personal lines experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong customer service focus
An organised and effective worker
