We are excited to launch a brand-new solution: Open Access. This enterprise-level product is designed to provide universities, libraries, and government institutions with real-time and archived news from the UK’s most trusted national news agency. This new product presents a significant opportunity for growth, and we are looking for a driven, strategic, and entrepreneurial Enterprise Account Executive to lead the charge.

About the role.

As the Enterprise Account Executive, you will own the launch and growth of our Open Access solution. This is a brand-new role selling a new product, giving you the opportunity to shape the strategy and make a significant impact.

You will focus on building relationships with universities, libraries, and government bodies, understanding their research and information needs, and positioning Open Access as the essential solution.

This is an enterprise-level sales role, dealing with large, complex contracts and longer sales cycles. You will need to balance strategic selling with hands-on lead generation, identifying new opportunities and driving them through to close.

Key responsibilities:

Lead the launch and growth of the Open Access solution, driving revenue and customer growth.
Identify, engage, and convert new customers across universities, libraries, government institutions, and research bodies.
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets.
Lead complex negotiations and secure long-term enterprise agreements.
Generate your own leads through proactive prospecting while also leveraging internal resources.
Collaborate with the Head of Sales and cross-functional teams to align on product positioning and go-to-market strategy.
Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and market trends to shape future product development.

About you.

You are a proactive, self-motivated sales professional with a track record of success in enterprise-level, consultative sales. You thrive in environments where you can take ownership and drive results. You understand the nuances of selling into research-focused institutions and are adept at managing complex deal cycles.

We are looking for someone who:

Has proven experience in enterprise sales, preferably selling EdTech, business intelligence, or SaaS solutions.
Understands the needs of universities, libraries, government institutions, and research bodies.
Excels at both strategic selling and hands-on lead generation.
Has a track record of closing large, complex deals with multiple stakeholders.
Communicates effectively and builds trust with senior decision-makers.
Self-driven, and excited by the opportunity to launch and scale a new product.
