East Riding Horticulture are providing an outstanding prospect for authentic career advancement and presently looking for a self-assured Sales & Customer Service Advisor at their office located in Sutton upon Derwent near York to work efficiently with their specialist Horticulture Sales Team.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of sales, with relevant industry experience being an advantage and have a good understanding about our customer base and the products we sell. This position requires an individual who is a team player with self-motivation and the ability to work alone when required, while assisting a wide range of customers. The ideal candidate should be commercially savvy, possess strong numerical skills, and take great pride in their attention to detail. You must take pleasure in working within a bustling, sometimes fast-paced, environment, but also be capable of working more strategically during quieter periods.

Location/Hours
Monday – Friday 8.00am – 5.00pm
Office based in Sutton upon Derwent, YO41 4BY

Roles & Responsibilities
Your role will include, but not limited to the following tasks;

Provide technical advice and support to customers on our products and services
Manage the entire sales process from receiving to processing sales orders on the system
Provide exceptional customer service and after-sales support
Monitor sales email inbox ensuring emails are dealt with in a timely manner
Verifying orders, including customer’s personal information and payment details
Identifying the right product for the customer’s needs
To respond to calls, emails and customers where you will advise them in a manner to assist with their requirements

Skills and Experience

Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Office (Sage200 / CRM System Advantage)
Professional and friendly communication skills
Proven telephone sales experience
Ability to work under pressure, independently as well as part of a team
Initiative – ability to drive own workload forward
Keen willingness to learn
Drive and self-motivation are essential

Desirable Skills

Practical knowledge of the horticultural industry and products
A BASIS, FACTS or other relevant industry qualifications would be advantageous

Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
