Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Sales Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background combined with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

The Sales Engineer will support the sales team by providing technical expertise, giving product demonstrations, proposal writing, reviewing customer requirements, and answering technical questions from customers. This role requires periodic travel to customer sites and trade shows.

The primary focus will be on our electrical lighting products (Cabin Lighting Systems/liTeMood), with an additional emphasis on our photoluminescent products (PL).

Main Duties and Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Support:

Provide technical assistance to the sales team during the sales process.
Conduct and lead product demonstrations and presentations to customers, highlighting features and benefits.
Review customer specifications and requirements, ensuring our products meet their needs.
Answer technical questions from customers promptly and accurately.

2. Proposal Writing:

Prepare detailed and accurate proposals and quotations based on customer requirements.
Collaborate with the sales team to tailor proposals to meet customer needs and enhance the likelihood of securing sales.
Define system configuration and kit BOMs to facilitate transition from Sales to Operations.

3. Customer Interaction:

Build and maintain relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
Act as a liaison between the customer and internal stakeholders to communicate customer feedback and technical requirements (VOC).

4. Travel:

Travel to customer sites for on-site demonstrations, technical discussions, and meetings.
Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and other industry events, providing technical support and product demonstrations.

5. Product Expertise:

Maintain an in-depth knowledge of our electrical lighting products and photoluminescent products.
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and technological advancements to provide relevant information to customers and the sales team.
Support internal requirements definition for new product development.

6. Training and Development:

Conduct training sessions for the sales team on technical aspects of our products.
Develop and maintain technical documentation and resources for both internal and customer use.

Key Experience / Skills

Experience in a technical role, preferably within the lighting industry or a related field.
Experience in customer-facing roles preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is an advantage but not essential.
Strong understanding of electrical lighting products; knowledge of photoluminescent products is a plus.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to explain complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
Willingness to travel occasionally, including internationally, to customer sites and industry events.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical drawings and data
